1 Corinthians 12; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
Use your God-given gifts to HELP others
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 “4 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. 7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other…”
Show APPRECIATION for all gifts, not just YOURS
1 Corinthians 12:12-21 12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. 13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles,* some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit…* 21 The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.”
Give special honor to LESS NOTICEABLE gifts
1 Corinthians 12:22-27
Contribute FINANCES cheerfully without pressure
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 “6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”* 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”
