When we think about how our society functions, we pursue sustainability in how we consume and live.  Renewable energy is a priority so that we can preserve our environment and leave a legacy for the generations to come.  In this message series, we look at the sustainability of our own lives and learn how joy from God can power us through any circumstance.

Pursue GOD’S JOY instead of happiness.

John 1:22 “So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.” Jesus speaking to His disciples before He died on the cross and rose again.” NLT, Tyndale
Happiness is an emotion, but God’s joy is STABLE.
Happiness is fickle, but God’s joy is SATISFYING.

Don’t hope, but REACH for joy.

Philippians 3:1 “Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it to safeguard your faith.””NLT, Tyndale

– Reach up for a MEANINGFUL life.

Philippians 3:9 “I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. ” NLT, Tyndale

– Reach in for PERSONAL development.

Philippians 1:11 “May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.” NLT, Tyndale

– Reach out to SERVE others.

Galatians 5:6b ““What is important is faith expressing itself in love.”” NLT, Tyndale

– Reach together to make a DIFFERENCE.

Philippians 1:3-5 “Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. 4 Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, 5 for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now ” NLT, Tyndale
