Exodus 34:6-9, Nehemiah 9:16-21, Deuteronomy 8:1-5, 2 Peter 3:8-9
Worship Yahweh, who is SLOW to ANGER
Exodus 34:6-9 “6 The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out,““Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.!…8 Moses immediately threw himself to the ground and worshiped.”
Stop being STUBBORN; yield to God’s LEADING
Nehemiah 9:16-21 “…But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love. You did not abandon them, 18 even when they made an idol shaped like a calf and said, ‘This is your god who brought you out of Egypt!’ They committed terrible blasphemies.”
Accept God’s DISCIPLINE as His love & patience
Deuteronomy 8:1-5 “5 Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.”
Remember: God’s patience gives us time to CHANGE
2 Peter 3:8-9 8 But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. 9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
Main Idea
