“Where to Begin with Tough Decisions” – When Love Speaks
Nothing can be more paralyzing than an impossible decision that we never expected to make. These “tough” decisions are often ones that we wish we could avoid, but are pressing nonetheless. In this 4 part series, we will present 4 questions to ask yourself when you are in the middle of these situations to help you make the best decision possible. This series is for everyone since we all face these moments in life, no matter what our view on God or spirituality is. In part 1, we learn the key question to ask ourselves and where to begin when making tough decisions.
Am I Being completely HONEST with myself?
Jeremiah 17:9 “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?” NLT, Tyndale
We SELL ourselves on wrong options.
Our tendency is to choose HAPPINESS over TRUTH.
Happy today does not equate happy TOMORROW.
Evaluate the Situation Clearly
John 8:31-32 “Jesus said to the people who believed in him, ‘You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’”NLT, Tyndale
The more I walk with Jesus, the more CLARITY I have.
Proverbs 4:18-19 “The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like total darkness. They have no idea what they are stumbling over.” NLT, Tyndale
The more I walk with Jesus, the more FREEDOM I have.
Psalm 119:45 “I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.” NLT, Tyndale
Action Point
Ask for God’s help to have a brutally HONEST conversation with yourself.
In what area of your life will you get honest with yourself?
