Wisdom in Finances

Someone who “HAS” it, honors God with wealth

Proverbs 3:9-10 Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need…

HEART: Fight GREED + Give FREELY

Prov. 21:26 Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give!
Prov. 11:25 Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

ACTIONS: Work HARD + Be diligent doing RIGHT

Proverbs 28:19 A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty.
Proverbs 24:16 The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.

STRATEGY: BUDGET, SAVE, & avoid DEBT

Proverbs 21:5 Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.
Proverbs 21:20 The wise have wealth & luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.
Proverbs 22:7b “…the borrower is the slave of the lender.”

Money is a good TOOL, but a terrible MASTER

Luke 16:13, Proverbs 23:5, Proverbs 11:4
