Do I have to be a member to come to Mission Trails?
Definitely not! Still, we encourage local church membership because it is modeled in the Bible, gives our church the best chance to support you, is key to you receiving strength from God, and helps you to serve even more. What are the requirements for membership?
Place your faith in Jesus
The New Testament models that believers and unbelievers attend the church. Membership is a next step in involvement with the church, and is preceded by placing our faith in Jesus for forgiveness of leaving God’s path. Click here to learn more about placing your faith in Jesus.
Experience Believer’s Baptism
After placing faith in Jesus, the next step is to be baptized after having made a personal decision to place your faith in Jesus and follow Him. Our church practices baptism by immersion under the water (a pool, a hot tub, or the ocean). Click here to learn more about experiencing Believer’s Baptism.
Contribute to Church Health
We ask that you strive for health in your spiritual life, in relating to others in the church, and in assisting in the service and outreach of Mission Trails Church. Nobody is perfect, but we encourage members to be positive, teachable, welcoming to new people, and looking for ways to connect others who don’t attend.
Use Your Gifts in Our Church
We ask members to contribute to our church making a difference in the community and world. We all have different gifts and time available, but we believe everyone can contribute in some way. No matter how insignificant an act of service may be, it’s all important for our church. Click here to get more info about volunteering and serving at Mission Trails Church.
What kind of church is Mission Trails Church?
Our church is dedicated to telling people the practical benefits of the “vintage” Jesus of history and the Bible. We believe the Bible is God’s Word and that God exists eternally as one in the three persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. People were created by God to know Him and live in obedience to His ways. All people need forgiveness and receive it by faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Mission Trails Church is affiliated with the Nationwide Southern Baptist Convention with more than 43,000 churches supporting over 6,000 missionaries in 104 countries around the world.
